Kamala Harris sat down in conversation with Oprah Winfrey for a livestream forum called “Unite for America,” in which Harris answered questions about her campaign while virtual guests included celebrities like Chris Rock and Meryl Streep.
For the moment in the spotlight opposite Winfrey, Harris paired classic black leather pumps with a purple power suit; Winfrey, on the other hand, wore an orange suit with matching leather heeled boots.
Perhaps taking a cue from Winfrey’s symbolic purple suit she wore at the Democratic National Convention, Harris opted for a plum colored set including a blazer and wide-leg pants. She accented the look with an elegant black blouse and an American flag pin. Winfrey’s look was similar, though she wore a vibrant shade of orange. Her pants were embellished with gold buttons at the bottom while her top was elevated by a flowing scarf feature.

Harris’ shoes featured a sleek design with a pointed toe, arched sole, funnel-shaped heel and rounded upper. The vice president’s shoes had a similar construction to Manolo Blahnik’s $725 BB Calf Leather Pointed Toe Pumps, which are offered in various heel heights. A classic black pump, however, can be found from a range of brands, whether its Jimmy Choo. Stuart Weitzman, Steve Madden or Nine West. The style easily elevates and sharpens an ensemble while helping to establish a sense of power.
Winfrey’s boots boasted similar features, from the slender heel to the pointed toe. The shaft of her shoe was covered by her pants, but a zipper closure could be seen on the side. The russet color blended perfectly with her suit and offered a gentle shine to her ensemble, much like Harris’ leather pumps.
Audiences can expect Harris to select a traditional pump for her formal events, whether its a black pair like these or a neutral hue of beige to complement her viral tan suit. She recently slipped on a patent leather pair of black pumps for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 53rd Annual Legislative Conference Phoenix Awards Dinner in D.C.
