Travis Scott’s Final Sneaker Collaboration of 2024 Is Almost Here

Update: Nov. 4, 2024 at 3:10 p.m. ET:

Travis Scott and Jordan Brand are bookending the year in a big way with the launch of the artist’s latest Air Jordan 1 Low collaboration along with the expected arrival of a new Zoom Field Jaxx colorway.

The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Velvet Brown” is beginning to arrive at stores now, hence the new batch of product images from GOAT. As shown in prior leaks, the low-top sneaker is covered entirely in brown suede with contrast provided by varying brown shades and black branding. The shoe’s signature lateral reverse Swoosh logo is done up in black leather, while the heel’s Air Jordan Wings logo and Cactus Jack smiley face are embroidered in black. Elsewhere, “Cactus Jack” branding is printed on the medial side.

One of three Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Lows to release in 2024, the “Velvet Brown” style joins May’s “Canary” colorway inspired by the rapper’s high school and the “Medium Olive” pair which was released in September. And although it wasn’t released to the public, an all-white version of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low was used as an invitation for Michael Rubin’s white party in July.

The launch of the “Velvet Brown” Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low follows the news of several reportedly canceled collaborations between the rapper and sportswear brand. According to numerous insider sources, once-rumored looks including “Dark Pony,” “Shy Pink” and “Pale Vanilla” have now been scrapped.

Looking ahead to 2025, Travis Scott and Jordan Brand will reportedly renew the three-way collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design with a new Air Jordan 1 Low. In-hand images of that pair have yet to surface, but the sneaker is expected to use a white-based design.

Sure to make an appearance on many holiday wishlists, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Velvet Brown” is currently scheduled to be released on Dec. 21 for a retail price of $150. It will be available from travisscott.com, Nike’s SNKRS app and select Jordan Brand retailers.

What We Originally Reported on June 30, 2024

It was only a few weeks back that rumors of three upcoming Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low styles began making the rounds, and now first looks at one of the unreleased pairs have emerged.

Seen here is the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low in “Dark Mocha/Black/Velvet Brown.” As expected based on the initial mock-up, the shoe is covered nearly entirely in brown shades with the only variance being black branding hits. The tonal color palette is delivered in a suede construction and appears to use a mix of textures with a shaggier suede used on certain panels.

Like Travis Scott’s other Air Jordan 1 Low collaborations, the pair features his signature oversized reverse Swoosh logo, which appears in black leather. Elsewhere, the heel of the right shoe uses the model’s traditional Air Jordan Wings logo, while the left heel is adorned with Travis Scott’s smiley face emblem. Further branding is seen on the inner medial side with a Cactus Jack logo underneath the Swoosh — another hallmark of the rapper’s Air Jordan 1 collaborations.

In addition to the “Velvet Brown” style pictured here, even more Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Lows are expected to release during spring 2025 including another men’s iteration in “Sail/Shy Pink/Muslin” and a women’s exclusive color, “Dark Pony/Pink Oxford.” Speculative mock-ups of those two styles are pictured below.

Despite the arrival of in-hand images, official release details for this Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Velvet Brown” have not been confirmed. Reportedly part of Jordan Brand’s spring ’25 lineup, the pair could hit shelves as soon as January. The sneakers are slated to retail for $150.
